Pam's Kitchen, U-District

Labeled as Carribean, you are getting Trinidadian food. It has a definitive Indo-African taste along with it's more characteristic Spanish influence.  The roti bread is absolutely amazing, and made fresh for you! The Sorel (made from hibiscus leaves) and the Sorel rum punch wonderful. Without the alcohol, it's very refreshing, but watch out, there is a reason it's called a rum punch when the rum gets added!

I had the curried beef and hubby had the Pelau.  We got a side of string beans, and most of it turned out to be to spicy for our two year old.  But she did eat meat and plenty of bread which we ordered an extra one just for her.  The portions were pretty much right as we left with no doggy bag, which was probabably the most disappointing thing!

This is a MUST-Try place if you like East Indian and Afro-influenced flavors.
